Dr. Mark Holterman: Pediatric Surgeon and Professor
Dr. Mark Holterman is an accomplished medical practitioner, researcher, and educator. He is a professor at the University of Illinois and a CEO of Mariam Global Health. Dr. Mark is enthusiastic about assisting patients in different ways such as supporting charity organizations. One of the organizations that he supports is the International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Vietnam. The team helps healthcare practitioners in Vietnam to expand access to pediatric medical care and increase their ability for such care (Facebook).
As a pediatric surgeon, Dr. Mark Holterman has served as a participant of the overall surgical team at Children’s Hospital OSF Healthcare since 2011. In addition, he is the president of reformative medicine-focused Mariam Global Health where he keeps a robust concern for the improvement of cell-based treatments.
He is a member of various professional establishments including American Diabetes Association (ADA) and Hannah Sunshine Foundation. American Diabetes Association was established in 1940. It is leading charity organization that concentrates on education, advocacy activities related to the disease conducting research, prevention, and cure of diabetes. Hannah Sunshine Foundation main aim is to focus on the use of regenerative and cellular treatments for kids with uncommon diseases.
Dr. Mark Holterman joined Yale University from 1976 to 1980. He majored in Biology and later attended the University of Virginia from 1980 to 1988 where he earned his Ph.D. and MD in medicine and immunology. He finished an internship at the University of Virginia Health Sciences and partnership at the Children’s Hospital and Medical Center through the University of Washington. Dr. Holterman had formerly worked as surgeon-in-chief at Advocate Christ Children’s Hospital and pediatric surgeon at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Mark Holterman, MD, Ph.D. is situated in Maywood, with an additional office in Peoria, IL. He has 29 years of career experience. His specialties include pediatric and general surgery.
